Since my last post, it’s gotten crazy around here.

Some of you already know this, but I am in the process of selling my beloved home in Lower Hillsdale Heights. Emma gets to stay there but I don’t. I will be moving temporarily to a condo in Lake Oswego. This will give me time to let the dust settle and figure out what’s next.

This is what some of us call life on life’s terms.  IMGP1387

Meanwhile, about THE MAN WHO WASN’T THERE….

The good news is the books arrived–September 3, a few days earlier than expected. They are beautiful, thanks to Doreen Wynja (gorgeous cover image), Aaron Yeagle (amazing cover design), and Jennifer King (lovely author portrait). Definitely the best cover yet!

There is a lot more to talk about, but what it boils down to is a visit to other parts of my website. There is, for example, a place that lists Events. There you will find information about the Launch Patry (you all are invited!) at Annie Bloom’s Books on September 23, and an Author Event in Spokane, Washington on October 23 at Auntie’s Bookstore. Everyone is invited to that as well, and more events will be announced as the dates are secured.

Where to get books? Since it’s still early days, either Annie Bloom’s Books or right here on the website are where you can find the paperbacks. Go to the Books section and you can order signed copies from me directly. On Amazon, for some reason they only are taking pre-orders at this time. Books will be available there on October 1. E-books are available anywhere and everywhere.

There is mayhem all around me, but I continue to move forward with getting THE MAN WHO WASN’T THERE into the hands of those of you who have been waiting. Please feel free to contact me at any time. I love hearing from all of you no matter what else is going on in my life. In fact, hearing from you helps a lot. Thanks for being there, y’all.

    Dear Judy:

I’d been waiting to order Emma’s latest escapades and we just updated Tom’s Paypal account, which we don’t use very often. But I do want your signed copy. I will read her during this winter.

I’d been thinking about you and wondering how summer life was going in the ‘hood. We’ve been up in the air re: our plans and may spend a BIT of winter in Wyoming this year (yay!). But I’d been thinking I should let you know that we were up in the air (re: bnb plans)–kind of with some sort of vague sense of foreboding.

Now I’m alarmed, Judy, to hear the urgency behind this move news–whatever it is–and hope you and your family are healthy and stable and the mayhem is only temporary. But, I feel fearful.

I’d think your beautiful home will sell well and easily–but any sale and move is traumatic and disruptive, I think.

Tom and I are sending you powerful wishes and affection–

    Hugs–Caryn

If writing and producing a book is like giving birth, is the christening on Sept 23?

All the best for a great event.

Yes to both of the above!
